Niloofar Rahmani, a 23 year old Afghanistan woman is the first female pilot to serve in her country’s airforce since the fall of the Taliban in 2001. And while for many, this might be a ‘kini big deal?’ story, try being a woman in Afghanistan. Fulani gunmen kill 30 in Benue, Nasarawa APRIL 26, 2015 : Suspected Fulani gunmen on Saturday evening and Sunday morning attacked and killed 30 persons, mostly women and children, in Guma, Kwande, Buruku and Keana Local Government Areas of Benue and Nasarawa states. The PUNCH gathered that the villages attacked in Guma LGA are Tse-Uosu, Tse-Gbudu Taraka and Branch Umenger in Mbadwem council. Russian hackers who gained access to the White House computer system last year were able to read President Obama's unclassified emails, the New York Times has reported. It said the breach was far more intrusive than previously admitted. Officials have conceded that sensitive information was in the unclassified system the hackers accessed. The discovery of the hacking in October led to a partial shutdown of the White House email system. Seven persons including a taxi driver and his passengers died this afternoon after an uncompleted pedestrian bridge at Dorayi quarters in Kano state collapsed on them at about 4.45pm today April 26th. According to reports, construction workers had warned the taxi driver and pedestrians not to pass under the bridge as it was still under construction but they ignored the warning and as soon as the taxi driver drove under the bridge, it caved, crumbling on the taxi killing the driver, its passengers and other pedestrians. A Zimbabwean woman who was recently found beheaded in Johannesburg was "cut into six pieces," a relative has told the media. Gauteng police have said that they do not think that Naume Garusa, 41, was a victim of xenophobic violence. Garusa's body was found in Killarney on April 14. She was buried in her home near Chiredzi in southern Zimbabwe this week, the Herald reported at the weekend. Her sister, Nyembezi Garusa said: "I am still shocked. I was the first to see my sister's remains at the mortuary. Her body was cut into six pieces. I think the assailants used a machete to cut off the head, both arms and limbs." It was a sad day in Bauchi for the family of Mubarak Aliyu Gidado, a 16 year old boy was killed as he was trying to start a generator which burst into flames. According to Mohammed, Mubarak's father, the fuel caught fire and it consumed him as he struggled with it. After much struggle with the flame, Mubarak was burnt extensively. Mubarak, according to findings is an SS3 student who was to sit for his mathematics certificate exams the next day but gave up the ghost on Friday after a brief stay in the hospital where he was taken to after the incident. His father described Mubarak as an obedient child, while his uncle further said his brilliance cannot be quantified. Mubarak has been buried according to Islamic rites.
