Buhari relocates to "Safe House" ahead of May 29
The federal government has made Defence House available to
President-Elect, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, for him to use for his private
and official engagements ahead of his official swearing in on May 29.
This is another way of according some presidential respect to Buhari.
The House also called “Safe House” was built by the regime of the former
Military president, Ibrahim Babangida for use of Nigerians with
presidential status.
Vanguard reports that Buhari who has been operating from his
Asokoro-Abuja private residence before and after the election moved into
the place on Monday upon his return from Daura, Katsina State for the
April 11 governorship and state assembly elections.
Buhari is expected to have the House as temporary residence until he
finally moves into the Aso Rock presidential Villa after his swearing-in
come May 29.
