Xenophobia: Emenike Cries Out
Emenike
was reacting to the ongoing xenophobia attacks that have taken over
South Africa and urged those who are attacking their fellow Africans to
stop the killing so that we could have one big united Africa.
The Fernabahce big man, who has interest in South Africa, having played there for FC Cape.

The AFCON 2013 highest goal scorer, reveals he still has family and friends in South Africa and begged leaders to come together for a united Africa and said what is happening in South Africa is strange to him.
“I can’t believe what is happening in South Africa,” Emenike said.
“I believe we should have moved beyond this stage in Africa. We should always see ourselves as one irrespective of where we come from.
“I am therefore calling for unity among other Africans. I am proud to be African, it is always a pleasure to be united as one big family, do things in common and assist ourselves rather than killing ourselves. I believe in Africa and we should be proud of ourselves.”

Emenike further said, “While I was in South Africa, I never experienced such a thing and its look very strange to me seeing such killings and destruction of properties.
“This is not the time for retaliation, everybody needs to come out to save the situation and call for peace. We don’t want war in our continent. We need peace and Unity. God Bless Nigeria, God Bless South Africa and God bless Africa as a whole.”
Emenike has been one of Nigeria’s most powerfull strikers and plys his trade in the Turkish league having resigned to Fenerbahce after a short spell in Russia.
